Key senior leadership position of a growth oriented diversified manufacturing business, reporting to the CEO. Responsible for the preparation of Corporate consolidated, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including Budgets, P&R, Balance Sheet and supporting analysis. Manage the preparation of federal and state income taxes as well as other sales, use and franchise matter through interaction with 3rd party tax professionals. Oversee the relationship with external auditors, responsible for the delivery of audit and other information requirements, insuring timely performance and resolution of accounting issues. Provide overall management of financial compliance activities such as banking covenant reporting. Oversee and implement as necessary internal accounting controls and procedures for the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information and ways in which to safeguard assets and compliance with laws and regulations. Establish and monitor all accounting policies. Participate with corporate financial staff in respect to Mergers and acquisitions and the corporate capital structure.
Qualifications include thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition. CPA preferred with a significant base in public accounting experience. Demonstrated experience in external reporting through annual reports, SEC, 10K, 10Q, etc. Preferred recent experience as a corporate or divisional controller in a manufacturing environment.
