Job Description Under the immediate direction of the Manager of Radiology serves as a key role in St Joseph Hospital’s Radiology Department. A multi modality tech must be able to perform at least two modalities of radiography. These may include US, CT, Diagnostic, Mammo or Nuclear Medicine. Must be able to perform complex technical functions in their designated modalities. Must be a leader and resource for all team members in Radiology. Must be able to administer intravenous contrast for procedures and be able to react to emergency situations. Must be able to obtain adequate patient histories. Assure emotional, mental and physical well being of the patient. Maintain CPR certification. Must be available for emergency call, work holidays as assigned, and give direction over the phone. Must be able to accept responsibilty, make independent decisions, and interact with professionals. Must be able to perform exams on all ages (pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric).
Job Requirements Licensure: Registerd by ARRT and licensed in State of Indiana as a Radiologic Technologist.
Experience: Be trained and Credentialed in at least two modalities of radiology. (Diagnostic, Mammography / stereo, Ultrasound, CT, or Nuclear Med).
Education: Requirement of a two year course of study at an approved/accredited School of Radiography with a completion of a Associate Degree or higher.
Other: Current CPR certification and maintain annually
