Job Description Under the direction of the facility Ethics and Compliance Officer [ECO], coordinates compliance, legal and quality department matters. Serves as liaison with facility, network and corporate office. Utilizes both internal and external data for benchmarking and reporting purposes. Identifies, plans and implements opportunities for improvement in the compliance/legal/quality processes as needed. Conducts audits and investigations to assure compliance with regulations and standards established by governmental laws, regulations, corporate and facility policies under the purview of the Business Ethics and Compliance Program (BECP). Interacts with internal or external customers as directed by ECO. Enhances customer satisfaction through resolution of issues. Creates and supports processes to minimize occurrences of inefficiencies. Prepares reports and participates in the Billing Compliance Chart Audit Committee, BECP and other committees as assigned. Participates in external auditor visits as needed. Education: Minimum of an Associates Degree in business administration, office management or related field. Degree can be waived with High School diploma and three years experience in quality, legal and compliance support operations. Registration/Certification: N/A Job Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written. Requires strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to assess overall effectiveness of developed processes and procedures related to compliance/legal and quality departments. Identification of issues, develop effective reports for review and monitoring, as well as support hospital staff and management in their resolution. Requires knowledge of continuous quality improvement concepts and philosophy. Requires knowledge of statistics, data systems retrieval and manipulation necessary to prepare studies and reports. Demonstrates leadership, group cohesion and communication skills promoting teamwork and group achievement. Demonstrates an extremely high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed. Working knowledge of related software applications. Requires analytical and organizational skills to manage contracts and match invoices to contracts and maintenance contracts. Requires organizational skills to effectively maintain work process flow in a dynamic environment.
