Job Description Under the direction of the Server and Storage Team Specialist, the Server Administrator (Wintel) will support, maintain, and monitor systems infrastructure for critical reliability and maximum uptime for hospitals. Position will assist in the administration of the overall Wintel Administration and Support for the enterprise. As part of the team, the Server Administrator will be responsible to execute the administration processes and procedures required to maintain a high level of service for the production Wintel systems. A very important requirement of the position will involve creating and maintaining graphical and text-based documentation and standards development for the enterprise systems infrastructure. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should also demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to interact at all levels of corporate management. An equal opportunity employer. Job Requirements This position requires general to detailed technical knowledge various server hardware, operating systems, and exposure to modern LAN/WAN protocols. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, logical and analytical skills. Licensure: N/A Experience: Minimum of two years experience in the Administration of Wintel servers. Previous experience in health care is a plus. Experience with Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016) Experience with one or more key areas: Active Directory and Network fundamentals, protocols (such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS), Group Policy and Profile Management. Desktop and application integration with Windows OS Platforms including login script, registry and other related application integration and troubleshooting skills Experience supporting Citrix XenApp 6.5 and above preferred Experience supporting VMware ESX platforms preferred Knowledge of performance tuning tools and network management systems Education: Minimum of an Associates Degree is required. Degree requirement will be waived in lieu of 4 years or more equivalent work experience. Registration/Certification: Certifications in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Server, Enterprise Storage, Enterprise Backup, Dell/IBM/HP hardware, VMware, or Citrix.
