Job Description Summary Responsible forworkingpatient accountsand follow up with insurance companies and patients.Take billing calls from patients, hospitals, insurance companies, and physicians.Must promote, through actions and attitudes, the highest level of customer care and service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Work patient and insurance files from collections module.
Work non-paid EOBs. Follow up with insurance companies and patients.
Send delinquent accounts to collection after all other means have been exhausted.
Take billing calls.Handle politely, efficiently, and with accuracy.
Other duties assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concreate variables in standardized situations.
