The Senior Engineer-Service will act as the primary technical resource supporting the Company’s aftermarket service and support for Front Discharge Mixers (FDM). Responsibilities include working closely with our field sales and service teams to deliver solutions that deliver value and quality that meet our customers’ requirements and expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guidance and engineering support to the branch service team including design, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment for branch and field repairs. In conjunction with the branch Sales and Service teams, review prospective service orders to determine necessary and desired solutions to restore or improve performance and value for customers’ trucks. Actively drive/lead and provide hands-on design solutions to resolve issues, including reverse engineer solutions that meet cost, quality and efficiency goals. Diagnose problems and provide failure analysis on a follow-up service report. Develop and maintain strong working relationships between company and customers that will enhance company position in the market place. Serve as the liaison to the Corporate Engineering team to keep up-to-date on current and upcoming systems, components and product lines. Collaborate with customer support team to develop initiatives for Customer satisfaction post-sales activity. Evaluate products and solutions provided by suppliers to assess suitability and performance that ensures quality and value for service repairs and updates. Demonstrate an awareness of customer needs, preferences, time and financial constraints. Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
• This job requires a significant amount of standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching horizontally, and reaching vertically
• Experience in Front Discharge Concrete Mixers & Refuse Trucks
• Must have excellent people (relationship-building) skills
• Must be organized, professional and have high integrity
• Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with customers, dealers and employees
