Job Description The Central Scheduler is responsible for coordination of scheduling all outpatient/inpatient testing, validating physician orders, obtaining insurance information, gathers any pre-certification/pre-authorization already obtained by office and completing Medicaid eligibility as needed. Assesses need for financial assistance. Provides support in assisting patients and family members with resolution of their financial needs by establishing payment arrangements or referral to financial counselor as needed. Promotes patient satisfaction, serving as a liaison on behalf of hospital and patient. Job Requirements Experience: Prefer work related experience in scheduling systems or job duties.
Education: High school or equivalent with one year scheduling/registration experience and up to three months of orientation time.
Other: Excellent verbal communication skills.
A strong emphasis on medical terminology, customer service and accuracy.
Computer experience required.
