Job Description Under the direction of the RSC Director, plans, organizes and manages operational and personnel functions involved in revenue cycle and specialized services for areas of Patient Financial Services consistent with hospital operation goals and objectives. Assists management in the development and implementation of a budget, goals and objectives, policies and procedures, staff training, development and quality assurance activities. Provides ongoing guidance and management to reporting leadership. Performs special projects related to the resolution of patient accounts. An equal opportunity employer. Job Requirements Education/Experience: Educational diploma or applicable certification plus three years of experience in revenue cycle billing which included a minimum of one year in a management role.
Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Health Care Administration, Business or related field*.
*Education may be waived with six years of progressively more responsible experience in revenue cycle which included two years in a management role. Job Knowledge & Skills:
Requires in-depth knowledge of third party billing, collection and adjustment procedures, as well as all applicable regulations.
Requires in-depth knowledge collection and bankruptcy laws and procedures, as well as all applicable FDCPA regulations.
Requires strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to ensure the effective and quality delivery of department services. Requires independent judgment and professional responsibility to provide management and constructive feedback to administration, corporate, other departments and internal/external customers. Requires the skills necessary to support network management in the development, administration and ongoing monitoring of the department budget (s) within established goals and objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of management theory and practice to effectively manage unit associates.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external unit customers at all levels, as needed.
